“ The BEST pollo’s asados in SA. The service is always fast and friendly. 20 feeds our family of 4 (two of them under 7) The chicken is extremely flavorful and juicy, the rice and beans are perfectly seasoned and comforting, they add in a grilled onion (my favorite!) and don’t even get me started on the green salsa. It’s not spicy but it is incredibly creamy and limey. It’s a more relaxed setting, definitely kid friendly. I so appreciate the fast service, by the time we walk in our food is being served about 15 minutes later. Consistently! So our children don’t get bored and start trying to walk around while waiting for the food. I would choose this over fast food any day. We drive across town (30 minutes) for this and it’s never stopped us from going. They also have frozen margaritas which I tried for the first time recently. Very good! And you can order them to-go (sealed of course!) Beef fajitas were delicious too. I highly recommend, try this place out & buen provecho! ”
“ Fire ! Yo this place is delicious. This was the first stop on our food tour of SAT. We had fajitas and the half chicken. The fajitas were hot and seasoned, along with the barracho beans and rice. The chicken, the chicken , OMG the chicken if nothing else come get the chicken. Also the margaritas will get you right, one you good but two you'll be gone. Try for yourself. Love ”
“ Frank’s Pollos Asados los Nortenos (or the original location on the Southside) has been hands-down my favourite meal in SA since the very first time I tried it. That chicken and green sauce is *perfection* and I absolutely love the sides that come with the half chicken or whole chicken meal - the rice and charro beans are SO delish, and the corn tortillas dipped in the green sauce is one of the best bites ever to be had. Today though we finally tried their frozen margaritas - Level UP!! The margaritas are made with fresh fruit and come in SO many different flavours (pineapple. strawberry. pineapple. cucumber. mango. watermelon. Guava.) and can be all mixed up in any cuvee your heart desires. Easily my new favourite margarita in San Antonio. I loved all that we tried - pineapple cucumber. Strawberry mango. Watermelon. Guava. Enough that we got a few to-go margs to bring home as well. Dangerously GREAT! Frank’s is all around! ”
“ Immediately greeted by the friendliest staff! We basically ordered a whole FEAST as we never eaten here but once at their other location years ago. Oh em gee! It was fantastic! One of the gentlemen that I can only assume was an owner, asked who's birthday it was passing our table upon seeing the absolute smorgasbord we had got ourselves into. Funny enough, my son was celebrating his Birthday! I didn't expect them to, but they all sang after our meal in such a humorous fashion my typically shy teenagers ate it up The food was amazing. Even though we had leftovers, just made for another meal to enjoy the next day. Can't wait to return! Dreaming about the green sauce till then. ”

“ Me and my family went for lunch today for the first time. This place is legit! The best chicken I’ve had! It was very juicy and flavorful! The corn tortillas were hot, soft, and fresh. The rice was flavorful and fluffy. The green sauce was on another level!! No wonder the staff has shirts that say “more green sauce”. I could drink it in a 32oz cup lol. The staff was amazing as well! Everyone was so nice and just made you feel welcomed. I’m so happy I discovered this place! I’ll probably be eating here twice a week now. ”
“ Another quick lunch run for the office squad. The people running the show at this location are on point. I had 6 different orders, very annoying, and they handled it with no issues whatsoever. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is always packed. Even back when I worked at Rackspace this place was always busy. What sets Pollos Asados Nortenos apart is they get you in and out and your food is always hot and delicious. I placed my ridiculous, numerous orders and we got the food in a very timely fashion. I have only ever had the Whole or Half Chicken from this place. I need to try the fajitas at some point. I ordered the Half Chicken and it was still hot when I got back to the office. When you open the styrofoam clamshell you are greeted by the signature warm, red glow of the Pollos Asados Los Nortenos charbroiled chicken. It’s unmistakeable. The chicken is bursting with flavor and extremely juicy. I have eaten here before but I had never tried the green sauce. My colleagues were shocked at this blasphemous revelation. I tried it this time and was absolutely blown away. I originally stayed away from it because I’m not great with spicy, but the green sauce is a creative concoction that compliments any cuisine. It truly is delectable. The Charro beans are another standout offering, and they are delicious. They go perfect with the charbroiled chicken and rice. The last of the accoutrements are the grilled onion and the lime, and they take this dish to an even higher level. All in all, this might be one of San Antonio’s truly perfect dishes. Fantastic place to take visiting family and friends, for an everyday lunch, or just a dinner with the kids. ”
